About GippLab
Prof. Dr. Bela Gipp is SUB’s Director of Research and holds the professorship for “Scientific Information Analytics“ at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Göttingen. As part of SUB's Directorate, he is primarily responsible for SUB's IT-related research, development, and infrastructure activities.
Together with his team, he conducts research at the intersection of Data Science, Computer Science, and Information Science, focusing particularly on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and the retrieval, analysis, and visualization of information in large data collections.
The close integration of expertise between SUB and the chair in research, development, and infrastructure operations enables the realization of innovative and ambitious projects with numerous local, national, and international partners.
